Diet for hepatitis

Hepatitis is literally the disease that causes inflammation of the liver and there are currently 3 main viruses that can cause this disease. They are named in alphabetical order: A, B and C.

hepatitis-c-1

In principle they do not need any specific diet, avoid alcohol, Stimulants (caffeine, tea, guarana, chocolate, etc.), Drink water to avoid dehydration (without excess) and try to make the liver work little, that is, avoid fats. And if you have to take any medication without a prescription, it is vital that you consult your doctor, as much of the medication is incompatible and should be changed.

Among the products to avoid would be:

  • oil and canned in oil
  • chocolate
  • Red meat
  • blue Fish
  • butter or margarine
  • Coffee and tea
  • fried

In spite of everything there are diets called "Liver protection" They are low in fat and may help you, but they are not required. Also keep in mind that if you are losing weight (something relatively common with this disease) you should see a doctor, as you may need a high calorie diet.
