Diet for basketball players

This is a diet designed for those who perform the sport called basketball professionally. If you are one of them, you should carry out a balanced and nutritious regimen because you have a lot of physical wear and tear. It is of great importance that you make the detailed menu down to the letter.

You will have to drink as much water as possible throughout the day to avoid dehydration, eat 1 ½ hour before training and drink a drink with extra salts after each practice. It is advisable that you undergo regular medical check-ups.

Example of daily menu

Breakfast: 1 infusion of your choice, 1 low-fat yogurt, 2 toasts spread with light jam and 1 apple.

Mid-morning: 1 large glass of banana smoothie. You should make it with skim milk.

Lunch: 1 plate of soup of your choice, ¼ of grilled meat or chicken, salad of your choice and 1 cup of fruit salad.

Mid-afternoon: 1 large glass of peach smoothie. You should make it with skim milk.

Snack: 1 coffee with skim milk, 3 slices of whole wheat bread spread with skim white cheese and 1 grapefruit.

Dinner: 1 plate of soup of your choice, 1 deep plate of fresh noodles with filetto sauce, 150g. grilled fish, salad of your choice and 2 pears.
