Amebiasis is a parasitic infection suffered by a large number of people today, mainly in tropical countries, it is caused by the histolytic protozoan entamoeba. It is a parasite that is transmitted orally and fecally, it can be acquired through the use of utensils or the intake of vegetables or water contaminated with said parasite.

To prevent amoebiasis you will have to carry out a correct hygiene of the environment, drink mineral or chlorinated water and do a careful cleaning of the food to be consumed. People who are diagnosed with this infection are prescribed specific antibiotics to eliminate the parasite and advise to carry out a nutritious but light diet avoiding the intake of alcoholic beverages.
