Three things that are causing your belly bloat

Swollen belly

If you often suffer from bloating, an uncomfortable feeling that usually appears after eating, it is very possible that it is due to one of these three causes. Find out what it is and eliminate or keep that habit under control so you never feel like a balloon again.

You eat gas-producing foods (broccoli, beans ...), carbonated drinks, salt, dairy and fatty foods. It is not about giving up these foods completely, but about stopping to observe how the body responds after ingesting them to determine if one or more of them are responsible. Then we proceed to reduce the portions until the belly gradually gets used to digesting them.

You eat until you feel full. It does not matter if your diet is based on healthy or easily digestible foods, if you eat too large portions, it will cause you to bloat your belly. If you constantly feel bloated and gassy, try cutting your usual portion sizes in half.

To determine if eating too much is causing your belly bloat, wait 10 minutes after you finish eating. If you're not hungry, you were eating more than your body could handle in one sitting. Eating six or seven small meals a day not only prevents bloating, but it also keeps your metabolism working at full capacity.

You swallow air when you eat. Using a straw to drink and eating too quickly causes gas to build up in the abdomen. So drink straight from the glass and take your time to finish your plate. One trick to avoid taking in air with food is to chew it well before swallowing it. Chewing gum and hard candies can also cause this problem, since they make us swallow very frequently, allowing air to enter the stomach.
