An essential aspect to achieve the latter is the setting times when eating and sleeping, which is indispensable in the children education, but also benefits adults. This creates a healthy discipline that avoids problems like overweight, malnutrition or fatigue. Some tips are:

  • Establish a fixed hours for breakfast, lunch and dinner –Along with snacks- and avoid modifying them; neither should skip meals, otherwise the body begins to accumulate fat.
  • It is important to include all food groups in the diet daily to ensure a good nutrition.
  • Avoid ingesting food in front of the tv because that way you are not aware of what you consume and you end up eating more than necessary.
  • Do not use the food as a reward or punishment, especially with children, because that conditions the mind and attitude towards said food.
  • Serve portions adequate - not very big not very small- and listen to the body well yes you don't have much appetite, should not be forced to eat.
  • Reserve the desserts for special occasions (such as weekends, birthdays and holidays) and choose a fruit during the week.
  • After the meal it is advisable to carry out light physical activity (like taking a walk) to promote metabolism.
  • It is preferable to eat dinner as early as possible to facilitate digestion before sleep.

As to rest, it is also important respect bedtime and wake-up times, which includes the weekend otherwise the body cannot rest enough.
