Organic foods that you should consider buying for health

Red apples

Betting on organic food is the only way to avoid traces of pesticides and other potentially dangerous chemicals for health.

The following are the first to consider, as they are both among the "dirtiest" and among the most consumed.

Apple: Research places it as the "dirtiest" fruit. Washing it before eating may not be enough to remove the long list of pesticide residues it contains. It can be eaten without the skin to avoid them, sure, but then most of its nutritional benefits are given up.

Peach: Its delicate nature and pests have caused the use of pesticides in its cultivation by the agri-food industry to become widespread. The consequence is that a very high percentage of non-organic peaches contain toxic residues.

Strawberries: If you fancy a few strawberries, consider buying them at an organic food market. And it is that this berry is famous for the strong pesticides with which it has been sprayed throughout history. Although the issue is now under greater control, it is best to avoid risks by betting on organic.

Grapes: In the United States, up to 15 different types of potentially harmful pesticides were found per grape, against which their thin skin provides little or no defense. So grapes, raisins and even wine, better if they are organic.

Potato: As they grow, they absorb pesticides sprayed on the soil that have seeped into the ground like real sponges. It is not surprising that compared to other foods, it is the one that contains the highest amount of pesticides by weight.
