Not motivated to train? These may be the causes

When the motivation to train begins to diminish it is time to evaluate possible causes before giving up and jettisoning the results obtained.

Although many people do the opposite, the following are some of the reasons that may have led you to get bored with your training.

Your mind has been left out of the equation

Getting results related to body shape and size is fine, but if a workout is based solely on that, it can become mechanical and boring. And what is more important: it can deprive you of learning what your body is capable of and developing your strengths.

If you think this is your problem, don't just do exercises to make your body look a certain way. Also include exercises in your training that help you function better and improve your quality of life in general. The main purpose of sport is not to improve the appearance, but to feel that our body works better. Yoga and hiking are good examples of workouts that don't put your mind aside, but they make it participate and refresh it. Although a different thing can work for each person in this sense depending on their personality and tastes.

Calories burned are the only indicator

Assigning value to a workout solely based on calories burned is highly motivating for some people. However, this strategy does not work so well for everyone. There are those who end up burned or injured approaching the training in this way.

If you think this is the cause of your lack of motivation, start practicing exercises that make you feel good and contribute to the general well-being of both your body and your mind. Watch the calories burned, but put having a good time first every time it comes to getting your body moving.
