Given its many benefits, beets are a food that everyone should include in their diet, but sometimes we don't know how to do it.
Here we explain one simple burger recipe with which you can access a better intestinal transit, the regulation of blood pressure and the prevention of premature aging. If you eat beets on a regular basis, you will also lose weight, thanks to its satiating qualities.
Ingredients
1 cup carrots, cut very thin
1 cup of cabbage, very finely chopped
1 cup raw beetroot chopped finely chopped
1 cup of cooked quinoa
1/2 cup finely crushed rice flakes
1/2 cup walnuts, cut into very small pieces
1 small onion grated
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 large eggs
1/4 cup of parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)
1/2 teaspoon of pepper
Lettuce (to serve)
Sliced avocado (to serve)
Sliced tomato (for serving)
8 gluten-free buns (to serve)
Preparation
In a large bowl, combine the carrots, cabbage, beets, quinoa, rice flakes, walnuts, olive oil, eggs, parsley, salt, and pepper. When you have combined all the ingredients well, refrigerate it for at least 30 minutes.
Take the bowl out of the refrigerator and proceed to prepare 8 small hamburgers while you preheat the oven to 200 ºC. Bake until golden brown, which will take about 25 minutes.
Then put each hamburger in its corresponding bun accompanied by lettuce, avocado and tomato to obtain a nutritious meal of only 385 calories, 12 grams of fat (of which 2 are saturated), 8 grams of protein, 8 grams of fiber, 63 grams of carbohydrates, 7 grams of sugar and only 47 mg of cholesterol and 441 mg of sodium.
